Sometimes you just want to get away.  We need a break.  My wife and I have (8) children that we all needed a get away.  The traditional venues were dull and boring.  Our travels usually ended up in a hotel room hundreds of miles away and us doing the same thing.  Then my wife searched and found Jellystone in Kerrville, Texas.  It all changed from here and let me tell you... it was worth it...

As soon as we arrived, it was visible from the road that this park was different.  It is not your typical campground.  The campers are seen beside the small bungalows for rent.  What really sticks out is the waterpark, the bouncy house, and the putt putt golf course that spans the front gate area.  This is however not all this monster has to offer. 

Check in is easy to navigate and parking your rig is easy.  The red carpet slots are worth the additional fee (we loved our spot near the pool), and yes you will either need a golf cart or a bike to get around the park.  Highly suggest renting a golf cart - they are fun to ride the trails of the property.

As a parent you want your children to be able to have fun.  Here we were able to let our children roam and be kids.  They found friends to play with, trails to follow, bouncy houses, gold mining, putt putt, and let's not forget the Hey Hey Ride!  The Hey Hey ride is a ride on a trailer pulled by a tractor that takes you around the park while you dance and tell others Hey Hey!  Don't forget to take your own glow in the dark jewelry so you can be seen!

There are a list of new activities that you can do daily.  If you don't want to enjoy the waterpark, then visit the Guadalupe River that is accessible directly from the park.

Surrounded by forest next to Guadalupe River, this relaxed resort is 3 miles from the Stonehenge II attraction and 5 miles from the Riverside Nature Center.

Sleeping up to 10 guests, the 1- to 2-bedroom cabins offer kitchens, cable TV, and living rooms with pull-out sofas, along with picnic areas and fire pits. Some have sleeping lofts and river views. Wi-Fi is available for a fee.
